Support safety and inclusion in sport by Playing by the Rules

The Geelong Canoe Club is a strong supporter of safety and inclusion in Australian sport and has adopted the National Integrity Framework, a suite of integrity policies developed by Sport Integrity Australia. Playing by the Rules' latest magazine explains everything you need to know about safety, inclusion and the framework so that we can all play our part in Playing by the Rules.

A jam-packed events and activities calendar for 2025

Geelong Canoe Club has a year full of paddling events and activities available to people of all ages. From our Kayaking4Kids programs to relaxed River Rambles on the Barwon River - there is something for everyone.

Great gift ideas that are fun and provide lasting memories

Geelong Canoe Club has a number of paddling experiences that will have your children, family and friends enjoy the outdoors, learn new skills and get to know the environment around the Barwon River. There's a program to suit everyone, all run by Paddle Australia qualified instructors. For those that already have a love of paddling or want to build on past programs there's the option of gifting a membership - a gift that keeps giving!

Geelong Canoe Club End of Year Sprint and Celebration Event

On Saturday 7 December celebrate the end of the year and the Christmas season at Geelong Canoe Club’s End of Year Sprint Event. This event will feature three sprint races with the first race starting at 9.30. A Christmas-themed morning tea upstairs at the Clubhouse will follow from 11:00am. Registrations for the sprint events are essential by 11:59pm, Wednesday 4 December.

Point Roadknight Ocean Paddling Challenge results

While the beautiful sands of Point Roadknight offered warm and sunny conditions for spectators, the on water conditions for paddlers who took to the water for the Paddle Victoria Ocean Paddling Point Roadknight Ocean Challenge proved a more challenging (but still awesome) experience. Well done to everyone who participated and a big thank you to volunteers who helped run this event.

Geelong Canoe Club Annual General Meeting Results

Despite the wintery conditions there was a great turn out for this year's Annual General Meeting where we elected the 2024/25 Executive Committee and the winners of the 2023/24 Reg Parker Club Person of the Year and Paddler of the Year awards.

Member notice: Request to move craft for rack expansion

GCC is increasing the amount of craft it can store by altering the existing rack system. To enable this work we are asking members to remove their craft before 5pm on Friday 15 March 2024. It is anticipated the process should only take the weekend.

Kids learn to paddle program starts in October

Kayaking for Kids is a program is designed to introduce participants to the sport of paddling through fun and games. If the participants want to progress or move into competition the opportunity will be available. 8 x 1.5 hour sessions. Mondays, 4.30 - 6.00pm, October 16 to 4 December 2023.

GCC committee member nominations and annual general meeting

Have your say in how the Geelong Canoe Club is run. The 2023 annual general meeting is on Saturday 15 July at 10.00a.m. with morning tea afterwards. Committee positions are up for grabs. Vote for someone or nominate for a position.
