Victorian Canoe Marathon Championships – 2 and 3 March 2024
Geelong Canoe Club - Barwon River, Newtown
GCC is working with Paddle Victoria Marathon and together we are hosting this year’s championships on the Barwon River.
Come participate or provide much needed volunteer support.
- Singles on Saturday. Doubles on Sunday
- U10 to V75+ age categories catering to all abilities
- General, Para and ICF classes
- Portage for most ICF classes
- Kayak, Canoe, SUP, Ski, Va’a
- Race distances 4 to 29km, depending on age/gender/craft type

Victorian Schools Canoe Championships – Sunday 17 March 2024
Nagambie Lakes Regatta Centre
The Paddle Victoria Marathon and Sprint committees invite schools / students to participate in the 2024 Victorian Schools Canoe Championships.
Schools do not need to have a formal paddling program for your students to participate; all primary and secondary school students in Victoria or border communities affiliated with Victorian canoe clubs are welcome to attend.
Age groups: U10, U12, U14, U16 & U18 with three main boat classes:
• ICF (K1, K2, C1, C2)
• Touring double blade (TK1, TK2, sea kayaks, skis, slalom, sit-on-top, DRR, etc.)
• Touring single blade (TC1, TC2, UC1, UC2, SUPs, outriggers, va'a)

Paddle Victoria is always looking for support at events, possible roles available include:
• Site setup
• Competitor check-in
• Site cleaning and safety team
• Marshals
• Trailer parking
• Turn buoy
• Portage
• Finish line / timekeeping
• Scrutineering (boat weighing)
• Safety boat driver (licence required)
• First aid (qualification required)
• Safety boat crew
• Safety boat towing
• Site pack up
• Site clean up
