GCC committee member nominations and annual general meeting

Have your say in how the Geelong Canoe Club is run. The 2023 annual general meeting is on Saturday 15 July at 10.00a.m. with morning tea afterwards. Committee positions are up for grabs. Vote for someone or nominate for a position.

Barwon River water levels are rising significantly

‘Moderate’ flooding is expected on the Barwon, Leigh and Moorabool Rivers with the rain expected Thursday 13 October 2022. That is about 3.10 Australian Height Datum (AHD). Geelong Canoe Club is situated on land adjacent to the Barwon River with a ground floor level at an average of 3.90 AHD. That's 0.8 metres below the expected level the river will reach. The situation is closely being monitored. Information will be posted on social media and this website should the situation change.

Barwon River through Geelong water levels have been rising steadily and predicted to be at minor flood level. Stay up to date with information to paddle safely.

Hawkesbury Classic Paddle - registrations are open

The 2022 Hawkesbury Classic Paddle is set for Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 October 2022. This is a unique opportunity to tackle a 111km, overnight, paddle from Windsor to Mooney Mooney on Sydney's Hawkesbury River. The event is open to all forms of paddle craft from single kayaks, canoes and ocean racing skis to multi-paddler outriggers and Dragon Boats. Paddler ages range from 16 to 80!
