With the arrival of Spring, approaching school holidays and daylight savings starting on 4 October 2026 our onwater programs will start to ramp up again. See our September events calendar for a detailed list of what's on at Geelong Canoe Club. The following info has been updated from our earlier post...
- SOCIAL PADDLES: Tuesday and Thursday sessions now start later - on the water at 5.00pm.
- RIVER CLOSED: Sunday 13 September 2026 - the river will be closed for a dragon boat regatta. Our carpark will not be accessible from Friday to Sunday pm as a result of this event too.
- CANOE POLO SESSION CHANGES:
- Sunday 13 September 2026 - the pool is not available so this session will be run on the river at 4.30 pm (after the dragon boat event is finished).
- Sundays 20 and 27 September 2026 - the pool is not available so sessions will be on the river. Times will be confirmed closer to then - check Facebook for details.
- CANOE POLO - POOL TO RIVER CHANGE: 4 October 2026 is the last pool session for the winter season. After that sessions will be moving out of the pool and onto the river again - we'll send reminders on Facebook and website closer to the time.
- KAYAKING FOR KIDS: 28 and 29 September 2026 from 9.00am-11.00am. Cost $50. There's another session being planned for Term 4 and we'll post details on our website and Facebook once that's organised.
